Who we are
StartPlan is a trading name of STARTPLAN UK LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 13869386, at The Leadenhall Building, 122 Leadenhall St, London EC3V 4AB, UK. For any question about this page, or to ask us to delete your data, write to info@startplan.co.uk.
What we collect
When you fill in the enquiry form. Your name and email address, plus your phone number and a description of your project if you choose to provide them. We use these only to reply to you. They are stored in our database and are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing.
When you talk to the assistant. The messages you send and the replies you receive are stored so the conversation makes sense and so we can see how the assistant is being used. Please do not put confidential information into the chat. Use the form or email us, and we are happy to sign an NDA before you share anything sensitive.
Technical information. To stop automated abuse we store a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself. A hash cannot be reversed back into an IP. We also record how many messages have been sent and what they cost to answer.
The assistant and OpenAI
The assistant is powered by OpenAI. The text of your messages is sent to OpenAI in order to generate a reply. OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. We send no other information about you, including your name, email or IP address.
Cookies
This site sets two cookies, both strictly necessary. Neither is used for advertising, and there are no third-party, analytics, or tracking cookies of any kind.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for do not require consent. That is why this site tells you about them rather than asking you to accept them. If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will ask first.
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Removing sp_v may mean the assistant applies its limits more strictly.
How long we keep things
Enquiries are kept for as long as we may need them for the relationship they relate to, and reviewed periodically. Conversations and technical records are kept for a short period for security and cost monitoring. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@startplan.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Where your data is held
This site and its database run in London. Messages sent to the assistant are processed by OpenAI, which may process them outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
